1. “What is this new line?” Actually the line has been around for 2 years now. We are now launching online. Trentacosta New York specializes in contemporary women’s wear sizes 10w-24w. We are best known for selective fabrics, details within the dress, and a clean tailored fit. 2. “Can you please explain what you mean by tailored fit?” Most plus size manufactures use a sizing system that is a combination of 2 sizes, such as 14/16, or 1X…giving a more roomy or lose fit. We take a more designer approach, using a standard fit model, size 18W, to create our garments. Sometimes going through as many as four fittings per garment to perfect the fit. From that we take out the added bulk by cutting a higher armhole, a sharper shoulder area, lots of darts and seams to shape the garment and have it glide over a woman’s curves. All this combined with higher quality fabrics gives the garment it’s shape and look. 3. “How do I know what my size is?” Like any other website selling garments, it’s best to take you measurements and compare them to the sizing chart from the site. I usually suggest buying for your curviest feature to assure a proper fit. An important feature to the Trentacosta line is that our sizing represents only one size (14), not two (14/16), with a 2” differential between sizes. And with the added princess seams and bust darts, the garment is given a structured frame. It is always safe to buy up a size and either take in with alterations...or return for a different size. 4. “What if the fit is wrong, can I return it?” Of course…You can either return for a full refund, or exchange it for another size. |
